* Daredevil, also known as Matt Murdock, first appeared in Daredevil #1 in 1964, created by Stan Leeand Bill Everett. Blinded as a child in an accident involving radioactive materials, Matt’s remaining senses were heightened to superhuman levels. By day, he works as a lawyer in Hell’s Kitchen, and by night, he fights crime as the masked vigilante Daredevil, using his acrobatic skills and enhanced senses to deliver justice.

One of the unique aspects of Daredevil is his ability to “see” through sound waves and touch, making him a truly formidable hero despite his blindness. Over the years, Daredevil has battled iconic villains like Kingpin, Bullseye, and The Hand, making him one of the most enduring and complex characters in the Marvel Universe. Fun fact: Daredevil’s signature red suit wasn’t introduced until Daredevil #7 in 1965, as his original costume was yellow and black!

** Hell’s Kitchen is located on the west side of Manhattan in New York City, USA. It is roughly bordered by 34th Street to the south and 59th Street to the north, situated between the Hudson River and 8th Avenue to the east. The neighborhood is known for its rich history and cultural diversity, and it serves as the primary setting for Daredevil’s story in the Marvel Universe.

*** “Daredevil: Fall From Grace” is a notable comic book storyline published by Marvel Comics in 1993, spanning issues Daredevil #319-#325. Written by D.G. Chichester and illustrated by Scott McDaniel, the story was part of Daredevil’s 30th-anniversary celebration.

In this storyline, Daredevil is pushed to his limits, facing new threats while grappling with his own identity. It introduces a darker, more complex narrative where Matt Murdock has to deal with new villains, a bio-weapon called “About Face,” and significant changes in his personal and heroic lives. One of the key moments in “Fall From Grace” is Daredevil’s decision to don a new armored suit, which was a big departure from his classic red costume.

The storyline is known for its darker tone and its attempt to reimagine Daredevil’s role in the Marvel Universe during the 1990s, a period when many comic book characters were undergoing significant transformations.
